I’m a Charlotte, NC based financial advisor and the founder of Greenway Wealth Advisors

My passion is helping people make smarter financial decisions so they can maximize the impact they have on their family, their community, and the world. Getting rich for the sake of being rich is not a satisfying pursuit. However, when put in its proper place, money can be a powerful tool to enhance your life and the lives of others.

I’ll do anything to avoid a salesman, even if it means paying a bit more.

Luckily, modern finance offers us the ability to avoid salesmen, and pay less.

Out of college, I started working at a church near Charlotte, and had no intentions of ever getting a real job. I sort of fell into financial planning, accidentally, and found out that it’s the right career for me because I can have a significant impact on people’s lives.

I started my career in finance in 2007, 8 years after I had been sold something by a “financial advisor.” He pushed high-cost annuities on my family and me, and he ended up benefiting a whole lot more than we did.

I figured there must be a better way, and after working with self-directed Vanguard clients for almost five years, it became clear that there was.

In 2011, I left Vanguard to open up an office in Charlotte for an independent investment advisor based in California. I began building relationships with great people, most of whom are Gen X and Y individuals and families who need help avoiding the pitfalls that the financial world offers.

In 2018, I opened up Greenway Wealth Advisors to offer a new generation of clients professional financial advice without the conflicts of interest that come along with product sales.

I was born and raised in Northern California, and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I graduated with a degree in Communications.

I’ve got a gorgeous wife and two kids, and we love living in Charlotte, where we’ve been since 2005.

I’m active at our local children’s hospital where my son spent plenty of time after being born with kidney failure. His Aunt donated her kidney to him when he was only 18 months old.

I also serve as a trustee at Mosaic Church in Charlotte.

You can find me roaming the streets of Charlotte in the early morning with the men of F3 Nation, and I spend plenty of time at the aquatic center where I swim and play water polo.
